Stone fruit | Whipped chocolate | Herbaceous

There is watery & then there is juicy. This is a juicy brew. Apricot, peach. Underlying fruitiness, freshly. Whipped chocolate is low-cal lush & smooth. The whole profile is exceptionally smooth. Fresh to almost invigorating. An only almost-moderate amount of delineation allows some mottling. Although it reads gently purposeful. To wow is not the goal.

There is some nicely structured nuance in citrus pith middlings. Also there, a bit of balsa wood. Lots of earth, tick of clay, dash of dandelion. Calming but not in a sedative way, instead in a 'keep calm & carry on' way. Softly solid. Kindly stoic. Stiff upper lip, kind eyes. A great everyday option, particularly with its low acidity. A drinkable breakfast, say? Just really quite a nice & inviting cup. Pleasant.

Finishes a tick fuzzy citrusy but mainly that stonefruit on a chocolate creamy body. Cocoa butter. Deceptively long-legged then ends cleanly. Crisply. Aroma is grassy-earthy with a faraway Mexican chocolate lilt. Definitely one of the brews which I can recommend more highly than I can grade. An enjoyable cuppa, simply-so.
